FINE ART CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION SERVICES
CONDITION AND TREATMENT EVALUATIONS
Upon arrival at the Van Witt studio, works of art are thoroughly examined and assessed to establish their condition. During this initial evaluation, our professional team determines the appropriate course of action for treatment and documents this process with reports and photographs.
From the initial examination through final treatment, our practices align with the American Institute for Conservation’s (AIC) Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice, recognized by conservation organizations and professionals worldwide. These guidelines are the hallmark of our practice, as we restore damaged works of art back to the artists’ original intentions and preserve their cultural heritage and legacy.
